I´m a bit surprised by the title.
Assuming I understand your article correctly, eclipses of any nature are the consequences of a number of factors governing the paths of the different bodies involved.
But I fail to see how one occurence is the consequence of the previous one ...

Maybe I interpret the term consequence differently, more strictly than you do? For me consequence means event B is directly caused by event A, which is not the case here (again, assuming my understanding is correct).
